Sentrimax Centrifuges Inc. (Sentrimax) is a leading North American provider of industrial equipment maintenance, repair, and overhaul services. An established and trusted environmental fluid management business, Sentrimax delivers products and services focused on industrial centrifuge technology, which separates liquids from solids. The company serves a variety of industries including municipal, environmental services (dewatering), oil and gas, construction, manufacturing, food and beverage, agriculture, forestry and mining.
Founded in 2002, Sentrimax has facilities in Edmonton, AB, Kitchener, ON, and Mansfield, TX. After more than 20 years, one of the founding shareholders decided the time was right for him to retire and pass on operations to the next generation. The remaining shareholders, including his son, wanted to elevate their existing roles and pursue ideas for each location’s growth.
Our M&A team helped Sentrimax through the entire sales process, from taking the business to market to closing and all the stages in-between. We were able to find the right partner that would support the existing shareholders in continuing to build the Sentrimax legacy, while allowing them to roll their equity. Balancing the interests of multiple shareholders and separate legal entities can be complex. Our advisors helped all parties to reach an outcome that would support their financial goals and set the business up for success together.
The right partner was found in Strive Equity Partners (Strive), a private equity firm that invests in businesses focused on growth and operational excellence.
