I work with privately held businesses and their owners to navigate complex Canadian tax matters and develop strategies that support their business and personal objectives. With nearly two decades of experience in public practice, my focus is on providing practical tax advice that considers both the immediate implications of a decision and its longer-term impact.
My experience includes corporate reorganizations and restructurings, estate and succession planning, shareholder distributions, and tax compliance. I work closely with clients and their legal counsel throughout the implementation process, helping ensure that tax strategies are thoughtfully structured and effectively executed.
I advise clients across a range of industries, including retail, consumer products, manufacturing and construction, real estate, professional practices as well as high-net-worth individuals. I value building strong relationships with my clients and taking a collaborative approach to understanding their priorities and delivering advice that meets their needs.
Before joining Doane Grant Thornton, I was a Partner at another public accounting firm where I advised clients on Canadian tax matters. I’ve also completed CPA Canada’s In-Depth Tax Program.
