I help businesses navigate the complexities of the Scientific Research and Experimental Development (SR&ED) tax credit program including assisting with successful claims that allow clients to continue driving innovation, support long-term growth, and remain competitive within changing markets. Over the course of my nearly 30+ year career shaped by extensive experience in both the public sector and automotive manufacturing industry, I’ve supported clients through challenges, growth, and transition.
Prior to joining the firm, I spent 15 years with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) administering the SR&ED program. During that time, I served as National Technology Sector Specialist for Automotive, Aerospace and Advanced Manufacturing, providing technical guidance on complex and contentious claims and leading an initiative to support the electric vehicle supply chain. I also spent 12 years as a Research & Technology Manager, leading a team of science auditors reviewing SR&ED claims.
Before my time with the CRA, I spent more than 20 years with General Motors of Canada in engineering and manufacturing roles. That experience included new product launches, engineering change management, product safety decisions, and implementing multi-million-dollar manufacturing lines from concept to production.
Outside of work, I enjoy giving back to my community through volunteer work as a math and science tutor supporting underprivileged youth.
