With more than 30 years of experience, I've built my career working alongside privately held and family-owned businesses across a wide range of industries, including aerospace and defence, real estate and construction, manufacturing, and professional services. I support small- to large-sized enterprises, providing assurance and business advisory services, from compilations and reviews to audits under ASPE and ASNPO standards. I also have extensive experience working with not-for-profit organizations.
What I enjoy most about my role is building trusted relationships. Whether I’m working with clients or mentoring colleagues, I believe strong connections are vital for shared success. My goal is to make my clients feel comfortable and confident, knowing they have an advisor who understands their business and can connect them with the right expertise when needed. By bringing in colleagues from across the Firm, I help my clients access the full breadth of our capabilities while delivering timely, professional service tailored to their evolving needs.
Having previously worked for another major public accounting firm, I bring diverse experience and practical insight into my role as an advisor. I hold a Chartered Professional Accountant designation and am a member of CPA Nova Scotia. Throughout my career, I’ve also been passionate about developing my colleagues, helping them grow their skills, advance their careers, and reach their potential.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my wife, our three sons, and our granddaughter. Whether I’m cooking, boating at our cottage, skiing, sailing, or golfing, I value opportunities to connect with family, friends, and my community. Giving back has always been important to me, and I’ve served in board leadership roles with organizations including Junior Achievement of Nova Scotia and Symphony Nova Scotia and spent time volunteering with the United Way, the IWK Foundation, the Discovery Centre, the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, and the Arthritis Society.
