Prime Minister Mark Carney announces support for Canada’s lumber industry citing heavy reliance on US exports and vulnerability to trade policies.
Helping individuals overcome their financial difficulties is what energizes me. Each day, through compassion, empathy and a commitment to financial literacy, I empower my clients to make informed financial decisions and give them the tools they need for a financial fresh start.
When I realized a career in insolvency meant helping people through a challenging time in their life, I knew it was the path for me. As the go-between debtors, creditors and our regulator, I thrive working on complex cases, breaking down issues, and finding solutions that work best for all parties involved. Dealing with debt can be an overwhelming experience, but as a Principal with Doane Grant Thornton’s Consumer Insolvency practice, I ensure all aspects of a file are handled with urgency, accuracy, timeliness, and a nonjudgmental approach.
I'm a Licensed Insolvency Trustee and Chartered Insolvency and Restructuring Professional with over 18 years of experience. Beyond encouraging the development of my team and colleagues within the industry, I acted as secretary for the Alberta Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Professionals to support the promotion of careers in insolvency and restructuring throughout Alberta.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and taking part in shared hobbies like working towards our 4th dan black belts in Taekwondo.
