Throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to grow through many roles at Doane Grant Thornton, each one shaping how I think about leadership, people, and purpose. What has remained constant is our culture of trust and a genuine sense of belonging. It’s our greatest differentiator and is central to how we work together and how we serve our clients. As Chief People and Culture Officer, I’m committed to strengthening that foundation so that our people and clients succeed together.
For over three decades, I’ve relied on a personalized and collaborative approach to help our clients and colleagues reach the next level. With deep roots at the firm, I’ve worked in a range of client-facing roles, including Regional Managing Partner of Western Canada. I also spent five years as a member of the firm’s Partnership Board, where I chaired numerous committees including Governance, Compensation, People & Culture, and our Nominations Committee.
Supporting our communities is deeply important to me, and I’m so proud of the firm’s commitment to giving back in meaningful ways across the communities where we live and work. I’ve held Board roles with the Edmonton Chapter of International Women’s Forum, Women Building Futures, ABC Head Start Society and was a mentor with the Venture Mentoring Service at the University of Alberta.
My driving force is enabling others to have a meaningful life where they feel they make a difference. As a certified coach through the European Mentoring and Coaching Council, I’ve supported many colleagues in achieving their goals and aspirations.
Outside of work, I prioritize staying vital and making time for the people I care about most. I love being outdoors whenever possible, whether it’s spending time at our cabin at Fawcett Lake in Alberta, gardening, or walking our dogs. Those moments of connection and balance help me recharge and bring my best self to both my work and my life.
