I help a wide variety of clients including charities, not-for-profit organizations, and private owner-managed businesses in numerous industries, including construction and real estate, retail, hospitality and technology. In addition to providing audits, reviews and notice to readers, I help clients navigate their tax compliance needs and advise on tax planning opportunities.
While every day is different, most of my time is rooted in developing connections with our clients to learn about their businesses and aspirations so that I can provide advisory and compliance services to help them achieve their goals. In order to do so, I rely upon over a decade of experience in public practice and have a network of amazing professionals at our Firm that allow me to solve complex matters and act as a go-to resource for clients. It is also my privilege to spend time coaching colleagues on achieving their career aspirations and provide technical training.
Originally hailing from the Yukon, I fell in love with Vancouver Island and have been fortunate to call it home for the past eleven years. As such, I feel it is extremely important to give back to this beautiful community and currently sit on the Board and Executive Committee for the Royal & McPherson Theatres Society, the Board of the James Bay Community Project and was previously Treasurer of the Wear2Start Society. I’ve also volunteered for local events such as Heroworks and the Festival of Trees.
In my personal time, I keep fit by attending boot camps, running and hiking. I also like to garden, attend local music festivals and concerts, and particularly enjoy exploring the islands by camping with my husband and our golden retriever, Indie.
