Helping my clients in global supply chains navigate the complexities of changing laws and regulations of various customs administrations is what I’m most passionate about. By listening to their needs and goals, I structure responses accordingly so they can continue growing their business and thriving. For example, during customs audits, I support responses to various government agencies by providing clear guidance and the required legislative references. Currently, with the changing trade landscape with the US, my team and I are reviewing our clients’ supply chains and internal SOPs to mitigate their exposure with strategic advice.
With over 36 years in industry and seven years at an accounting firm, my career has spanned across customs brokerage and consulting. I also worked for a large multinational Canadian automotive manufacturer where I led their customs department.
Exploring new areas of learning through collaboration and mentoring my team members is another passion of mine. It gives me great satisfaction to share my knowledge with them while supporting their career journeys. Helping my colleagues thrive is one of the many reasons I joined the Firm. I’ve also been an industry representative with the Border Customs Consultative Committee for over 15 years and have spoken at various industry trade shows and webinars. Additionally, I’m a Chartered Member of the Logistics Institute and a Professional Logistician.
Giving back to my community is important to me, which is why I serve as President of the Rotary Club of Harrow, where I’ve been an active member for eight years. I’ve also been fortunate enough to be on two international mission trips to Ghana. Most importantly, I enjoy spending as much time as possible with my family.
