Prime Minister Mark Carney announces support for Canada’s lumber industry citing heavy reliance on US exports and vulnerability to trade policies.
I value building long-term relationships with my clients and providing practical, effective tax solutions tailored to each circumstance. My work includes planning for private companies and their shareholders, estate and post-mortem tax planning, and addressing a wide range of domestic and cross-border tax issues. My professional approach focuses on clear, thoughtful communication with clients and, where appropriate, their families and professional advisors.
With over fifteen years of tax-focused public practice experience, I bring a strong technical foundation to every engagement. I'm a CPA, CA and have completed the CICA's In-Depth tax program as well as the Advanced Tax Issues for the Owner-Manager course. Since 2015, I’ve also shared my expertise as a tutor for various income tax courses with CPA Canada. My academic background includes a B.A. in Anthropology from the University of Victoria, my Trust and Estate Practitioner’s designation (TEP), and I’m multilingual, speaking conversational French and Japanese.
Outside of work, I enjoy playing guitar, spending time with family and friends, and writing fiction. I'm currently working on my second novel.
